Welcome to CutiePie. We take your privacy seriously. CutiePie is a 1-on-1 voice and video calling app, and this Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Last updated: 7 May 2026.
1. Information We Collect
- Phone number (mandatory): Collected at signup for OTP verification and used to log you in. It is not displayed on your public profile.
- Profile data: Display name, gender, date of birth (used for 18+ age gating), and the avatar you pick from our in-app curated library. We do not ask you to upload a selfie or any personal photo.
- Voice verification clip (women only): A short voice recording (3+ seconds) is captured at signup so a human reviewer can confirm you are a real person before you go live as a receiver. The clip is stored encrypted and is never shared with other users.
- Call & chat metadata: Call duration, participants, timestamps, coin transactions, and gifts exchanged. We do not record the audio or video content of your calls.
- Payment data: Coin purchases are processed by Razorpay. CutiePie receives only the transaction status and amount — we do not store your card or UPI details. For women, bank account or UPI details provided for withdrawals are stored encrypted and used only to process payouts.
- Device & technical data: Device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and an Android device identifier used to detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce device-level blocks where required.
- Push notification token: A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver incoming-call alerts and chat notifications.
- Crash & usage diagnostics: Anonymised analytics that help us debug issues and improve the app.
- Location: CutiePie does not require GPS location. If a feature requests it in the future, you will be asked for explicit permission.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Create and operate your account, deliver calls, and process gifts.
- Process coin purchases (via Razorpay) and women's withdrawals to bank/UPI.
- Verify women receivers via the voice-clip review so callers are protected from bots and fake profiles.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, harassment, or violations of our Terms.
- Send transactional notifications (incoming calls, low-balance warnings, withdrawal status). Promotional notifications only if you opt in.
- Comply with applicable Indian laws, including consumer-protection, taxation, and law-enforcement requests.
3. Sharing Your Information
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- We share data only with trusted partners who help us run the service:
- Razorpay — payment processing for coin purchases and withdrawals.
- Agora.io — voice and video call delivery (calls are encrypted in transit; we do not record their content).
- Google Firebase & AWS — push notifications, authentication, hosting, and storage of profile/voice-verification data.
- Bulk-SMS provider (2Factor) — to send OTPs.
- Indian law enforcement and regulators — when required by valid legal process or to protect user safety.
- If another user reports you for abuse, we may review your call metadata and chat history to investigate the report.
4. Data Security
We protect your data using industry-standard practices: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive fields (bank details, voice clips), restricted internal access, and abuse-detection systems. No system can be 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to keep your information safe and we will notify you in case of a material breach affecting you.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile from public view immediately and delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records under Indian taxation rules or call records required for fraud investigation).
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Edit your profile: Update your display name or avatar from the app at any time.
- Delete your account: Use the in-app "Delete Account" option, or email us at cutiepiesofficialone@gmail.com. Deletion is permanent and any unused coin balance is forfeited unless eligible under our Refund Policy.
- Block or report users: Available inside the app; reports go to our moderation team.
- Notifications: Disable promotional notifications from your device settings.
- Access & correction: Email us to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or to correct inaccuracies.
7. Children's Privacy
CutiePie is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover a minor has signed up, we will delete the account immediately. If you believe a minor is using CutiePie, please report it to cutiepiesofficialone@gmail.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of CutiePie after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
